What sort of owners do people expect to get? That's Kat Liebherr, Gao and now Sports Republic we've wanted gone.

We don't like the immoral Saudi/Qatar/UAE state owned clubs like City and Newcastle. The Chinese had loads of money a few years ago and were acquiring clubs, but they fell on their arses and turned out to have no investment potential. The increasing number of Yank owners are becoming more of a problem with their thirst for an NFL franchise model, so we wouldn't want to go down that route.

Who does that leave? The lifetime Southampton fan and local businessman turned multi-billionaire, who loves the club and is prepared to pump hundreds of millions of his own money into it. Dream on.

Hate to say it, but you're absolutely right. The way the Prem is going it will totally price itself out of the market with maybe a dozen (that many?) or so clubs totally dominating and fodder like us will just be spat out and left to rot

All enjoyment and "proper" competion will slowly go and the Yanks will get their NFL style league

In the NFL I believe the worst team from the previous season gets the first pick of the draft and so on, on a sliding scale up to the last Super Bowl winners getting the last.
I believe that the Dallas Cowboys are one of the richest clubs but they haven’t had any success for a long period now. At least there’s the effort to try and make things a little more equal.

Sports Republic; owned by idiots, run by idiots.

Does anyone think there is realistically others out there better (based on our current predicament)?

Liebherr and Cortese could see the potential, but maybe we need to drop another league before anyone takes a punt.

The Championship, a money making machine it ain’t…..

On the upside, a few years down might flush a few out.

Excuse me, never at any point did I want Kat gone. I wasn’t even bothered about Gao to be fair although I think relegation under him was inevitable.

Am not even sure flushing this mob out is the answer tbh as they ain’t gonna sell up cheap regardless.
