Ross Stewart, what’s wrong this time ? 12:13 - Mar 21 with 1068 views | saintmark1976 | The Sunderland Echo and The Scotsman both reporting further injury problems. I’ve every sympathy with the guy but hasn’t the time come to accept that his football career is over and seek an insurance payment for him ? Alternatively, does the club just wait until his contract expires and continue to pay him in the meantime ?

Ross Stewart, what’s wrong this time ? on 12:18 - Mar 21 with 1048 views | dirk_doone | Didn't he fail his medical here, which surely means there can be no insurance payout? Insurance companies don't give money away lightly so even if the club says he passed it, their insurers will argue the case and point out that he had long-term injuries when we signed him, which should have been declared. At best, we might end up with a partial payment. And he was only 2 weeks away... [Post edited 21 Mar 12:23]

Ross Stewart, what’s wrong this time ? on 13:10 - Mar 21 with 943 views | 1885_SFC | "There appeared to be light at the end of the tunnel for Stewart in recent weeks, when he played 45 minutes for Southampton under-21s recently. Having not made any further appearances since, it has been revealed that his recovery has been ‘scaled back’ on advice from the club’s medical team after they noticed a reaction to his injury.

Contract runs out 30th June 2026. He’s on £20k per week. Sport Republic. Jokers. 🃏

Ross Stewart, what’s wrong this time ? on 14:35 - Mar 21 with 846 views | BLEEDRED | There is no insurance policy, as others have said he was still unfit when signed, so the best the club can do is let his contract run down then release him

It has come to a point where it would be better to pay his contract up and let him move on to something else. He could coach, or do punditry, whatever, but he's not playing first team football in the top 2 or 3 divisions again. Pay up, move on.

There are worse run clubs, Reading comes to mind. However there are certainly a lot more better run clubs than us. Sport republic have to be up there with one of our worse owners, and Dragan is getting an easy ride.
Ross Stewart, what’s wrong this time ? on 17:53 - Mar 22 with 125 views | mushinexile | So apart from the money we paid him so far, it will cost about 1 1/4 Million pounds to get rid of this person who is not what he was supposed to be. More, by far than I earned in a lifetime's hard work and what has he provided? Potential. Somebody's been done, properly. Once Ross retires 30/6/2026, He is made for life on nothing!
