There was a bit of an altercation in the safe standing section yesterday during the 1st half with a few blows exchanged. Was it Cardiff fans in there or just a couple of interlopers looking for trouble?
They never returned again so I guess they were escorted out.

It's not some odd ball fat fella in his late 20s early 30s was it?.

I had some strange altercation a few season's ago where I arrived at my seat and was told to just f%#k off and sit elsewhere.

A few words got exchanged and he stormed off to find another seat all very odd and unnecessary.

Ohhhhhh bobby zamora

I was actually the individual that got punched on Saturday. Effectively two lads came and stood in my seat whilst I was using the facilities and started to swing when I suggested they go back to their own seats.
Investigation ongoing etc etc but dealt with relatively swiftly on the day by security.
I was there with my old man so a bit of a shock to find yourself being punched in the home end by a fellow "fan".
Fortunately I missed the majority of the game as a result.. silver linings I guess, watching the highlights back.

We were the other side of the staircase in ML and heard some shouting and thought it had settled down until the bloke started throwing sneaky punches.
I hope you and your dad are ok,and the club deals with it correctly.
We tend to get interlopers towards the end of games as people think they can sneak in,but when there’s only 4 seats in our row we seem to notice quite quickly. One game we had 5 French lads trying to move in to our row,and there was already two of us in there.

You can’t blame the stewards: they shouldn’t have to spend their time continually arguing with morons who want to do whatever they want. It’s just a total lack of respect for fellow fans.

But the reality is a minority of people dont. If you've got a near full house the purpose of the Stewards is to get people to their ticketed seat otherwise what is the point of them being there. They dont even check the ticket these days. I have a seat top of the stairs it has leg room, it's a plum seat I've maintained a season ticket for over 25 years for it. I should not have to get into the ground 15 minutes early to avoid any aggro over it if the stewards did their job properly. We should not have to spend the first 10-15 minutes of every game with people shuffling about having been asked to move out of the seat they have not actually purchased.

It’s not the theatre and the section entrances would get gridlocked if every ticket was checked: I think it’s reasonable to assume that anyone who doesn’t know where they are going will ask a steward.

Sorry that happened to you buddy. I love the safe standing area, but you do see a few people try and bunch up in spaces, usually kids, and I have felt it's a matter of time until an incident like this happened

My seats must be shit cos no one ever tries to stand in them
