Well if we have to replace him it’ll cost 7 figures , probably. For me, he’s irreplaceable at the back, going forward, in the opposition box, in the dressing room, off the pitch . Don’t underestimate how much someone with his personality and love for the club can mean. And if it’s a true that we’re only arguing over one year, then what’s the point?

Exactly. More of a sell on value than Colback or Cook but we signed them in the 30's! Well as it goes he'd have no reslae value at all as he'd be at the end of his contract.

So if we signed him on a four year deal, it's because of the value he brings in both on AND off the pitch in so many different ways. And you've got a guarenteed versatile, consistant player on your books.

Also, if someone wanted him next summer with 2-3 years still go on his contract, then we could command a decent fee.

I personally think there is some logic in the theory that
Jimmy is staying and Nourry will drop some kind of PR announcement in the summer when we least expect it.

The last I heard was that the issue wasn't the wages, but the actual length of the contract so that's definitely a bridgeable gap, but that might just be speculation.

Hopefully he does stay cause he is irreplaceable imo
