Do more than half the swans fan base want Wrexham to come up? 09:08 - Apr 16 with 2620 views | Swans9 | I want them to come up because we haven't played against them for years. I not worried about them becoming the n1 team in Wales. If they do become bigger than us they do. Only draw back is its hard to get away tickets because of their small capacity.
Do more than half the swans fan base want Wrexham to come up? on 09:28 - Apr 16 with 1595 views | Whiterockin | I don't want them to come up because in my opinion they have bought their way to success particularly in the non league days. I'm not particularly happy with the way Birmingham have done things either that's why I'm rooting for Wycombe.
Do more than half the swans fan base want Wrexham to come up? on 09:29 - Apr 16 with 1588 views | onehunglow | Wrexham half the size of Swansea with four huge clubs within an hour Swansea stands alone It would take two generations to see Wrexham get close

It shows the power of marketing though Only until very recently Wrexham were a nonentity The coaches at Anfield and Goodison on match days are evidence of what teams are supported there Right now, there is novelty value

This is why people begrudge them. The majority of their fanbase is plastic and more interested in the actors or the docu-series than the actual football. Big respect to the real Wrexham fans who were there before Reynolds and McIlhenney and will be there long after them.

No doubt On other hand, they are Welsh and been in the doldrums for many years All being well, us being there it's a game I'd want to see to see My son has an office on Wrexham and he does say the interest amongst staff has created more interest in them Liverpool and Everton , with their new stadium, are always pre eminent

A girl in work with me has been to watch them a few times in Wrexham becasue she fancies one of the actors. It sort of sums them up. To be honest I don't care about them. Just another club. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Do more than half the swans fan base want Wrexham to come up? on 11:57 - Apr 16 with 1348 views | KeithHaynes | Couldn’t care, they’ve pretty much bought their way up, these owners sent out thousands of bottles of alcohol to people in the Wrexham area when they took over. People like it when you give them free things, they think they are your friends. If they do come up they will need a bloody good strategy to stay up.

Of course the interest in Wrexham and the surrounding areas has increased. It’s those very people I begrudge the success. It’s like Man City in a way. They had a long suffering, predominantly local fanbase, who stuck by them through thick and thin. Those people deserve the success their owners ultimately bought. Same for the original Wrexham fans. The new/plastic fans of either club don’t. Unfortunately, they hugely outnumber the real fans.

As far as I'm aware they're not hugely fond of the Bassey's either so the enemy of my enemy is my friend. They've gone through tough times in recent years and are currently on a good run. Yes, the hype is a bit much but I doubt that there's many people who wouldn't have been just as chuffed as them had we been in their position.

In my opinion when we went through the leagues we were well liked by the majority of football supporters, Wrexham seem to be completely the opposite.

I do for the reasons I've said plenty of times. The gogs need a stadium that wales can take international matches to therefore rewarding for the horrendous journeys to our 'home' matches. Plus it's only an hour away for me and the eldest 😉

We had a lot less hype about us at the time. We were just seen as a really well run club punching above its weight. Wrexham are being run pretty well too, although the commercial opportunities available via ownership have made it a lot easier for them and I guess inspired a fair bit of jealousy.

Profit and sustainability will bite them if they go that way. He will want a big signing on fee plus I doubt he would kick a ball for less that 25k a week. Even at his age.

Do more than half the swans fan base want Wrexham to come up? on 16:42 - Apr 16 with 967 views | Tummer_from_Texas | In the entire history of the Swans' membership in the EFL (1920-current), have we ever had two other Welsh clubs in our division? While of course I'd love to see Cardiff City go down, that would make for an interesting season.

Yes, I'm certain we have. Don't ask me when though, I am fairly sure we've had Cardiff and Newport in the same divi. Go back far enough (to the likes of Aberdare athletic) and I think there may even have been 4 in one div at some point.
