This is why people begrudge them.
The majority of their fanbase is plastic and more interested in the actors or the docu-series than the actual football.
Big respect to the real Wrexham fans who were there before Reynolds and McIlhenney and will be there long after them. |
Most “fans” of the top 6 or 7 Premier League clubs never attend games.

Unless I've read it wrong, what money R&R did initially spend has been repaid. I'm sure there was something in their most recent accounts about a loan by the both of them being settled, probably why they reported a loss overall on the year.
They've reached a point where the commercial income they generate as a result of the hype puts them ahead of every other team at their level, and probably more than most at ours. That's an advantage they have without ownership spending money.
It'll get harder if they come up as they've also got a new stand to finance so a bit may be put back in, but overall as long as the interest from overseas holds steady they'll be in a strong position. |  |
