Just turned 23

6 appearances for QPR

Played 4 games this season, none in the league

Will he be starting in a meaningless last game of the season at Sunderland?

It is unfortunate how Nardi made the goalkeeping position his ow ( fully deserved)

But what about Walsh and I can’t see how he can develop by just sitting on the bench

I said pretty much the same thing on the POTY match thread. I am in the minority, but not a huge fan of Nardi . I accept he is a very good shot-stopper and has earned us a few points in that regard. Equally, he has cost us a few points with his inability to deal with crosses (Coventry for eg) or dominate his area and poor footwork. Also at 30, he is unlikely to improve in either of these regards.
Joe Walsh on the other hand is only 23, which is an absolute pup for a goalkeeper. However, he will only improve with games and I would like to see him get regular games for us or go out loan. Being back-up keeper is the worst position of all, third choice keeper can go out for experience but 2nd choice is always needed for emergencies

I reckon the club will look to get him a good season long loan like they did for Cooper at Stevenage who has come on leaps and bounds as a result. Bring him back to challenge Nardi for the number 1 shirt, let Walsh develop then when Nardi goes we have two of our own to push each other.

I'm not a huge fan of Nardi either, despite him being an upgrade on Begovic. Yes, he's a good shot stopper but all keepers at this level should be, and he's good in one on one situations too. However, as has been observed many times now, he doesn't command his box or claim crosses. His kicking is below standard and he seems to me to be quite a nervous keeper when under pressure.

I believe Walsh could become a better keeper than Nardi but, as has been said, he must get games. I don't see why he shouldn't be given a chance next season.

I thought at the start of the season we should've signed an experienced back-up for Nardi and sent both Cooper and Walsh out on loan. This has been a wasted season for Walsh, he won't have developed much sitting on the bench all season.
