Everytime I saw Cornet play he lacked the basic attributes of a winger - taking a man on, crossing, pace. Stoke in the cup stands out as a game where he really did next to nothing
No matter what system you play a winger is generally expected to at least do these things, which he couldn't.

Tbf he didn't get much game time under Martin but he certainly looked poor when he did play.
Maybe Serie A is his level , which is now alot lower than the Prem overall.

He tackles back well and runs fast but I've never seen him take on the defender, although under Martin we didn't cross the ball anyway! | | | |
