Bit naughty. Still, suppose it's an extra £30k or so of income which can go towards the monies heading to Lens....

Standard these days whether its football or gigs , as Still resigned and is talking to Saints, I suspect that there is no compensation to be paid, otherwise he would still be contracted to them and unable to hold talks

I'm not convinced he has officially resigned. I've read quotes from the likes of Alfie House saying that he is still contracted to Lens until 2027.

Well done Nick, I admire your optimism. Appointing this fella ( and it appears possibly half his family ) is going to be the straw that broke the camel’s back for a large number of fans season ticket wise. Only Sports Republic could give the gig to a guy who has never played professional football at any level or managed a club in the Championship or any other British league. What could possibly go wrong ?

Although I take your point, Chelsea gave a job to Jose Mourinho who had never played professional football or managed in Britain. Liverpool appointed Gerard Houlier &Roy Hodgson spring to mind as managers who fit the criteria. On a lighter note Jan Poortvliet was appointed as manager of SFC had played in a World Cup final but that didn't impress Saints supporters

Same here . This season has come near breaking point - in fact I may be broken. Aside from the ticket cost, I have a 5 hour round trip journey with associated costs to see us play like shit, managed by three clueless cretins and now it looks like another no-mark is being lined up.

Have to agree, this has slowly been happening since the creation of the premier league, they want a closed shop and this is now only helped by the FFP rules making it basically impossible to compete and even then they cheat and get away with it! It will be interesting if the 3 promoted clubs this year come straight back down for the third season in a row and if by a major miracle we get promoted, great, another season of getting hammered every week, there's no hope left any more. Not that I like it or follow it but even the women's game has quickly followed the money with Chelsea winning all domestic competitions year in year out!
