Intention to supply dependent on volume but double above for the minimum.

It's not actively enforced. DVLA have a department who monitors unlicensed (taxed) vehicles and issues penalties to the registered keeper for those who don't comply. They also do the same for vehicles without a valid insurance policy which aren't declared off road. DVSA do not do the same for vehicles which have not got a valid MOT. Rationale is that a vehicle must have an MOT in place to allow them to tax the vehicle annually from the point the vehicle is at least 3 years old therefore making sure that one is done each year the vehicle is taxed. Unfortunately that doesn't mean individuals always comply with any of those three. Some don't even register the vehicle in their own name and therefore will not receive any correspondence relating to Tax or insurance. Was a lot more difficult to hide before they got rid of the tax disc. Now you could only potentially be caught if physically pulled over by the police. | | | |
