French teams have a terrible win-lose record in the final of the European cup/Champions League, I would like to see them do it this time, PSGhave been good to watch and Italians sides have won it a lot more times than French teams, I remember being devastated when St Etienne lost in the final to the Germans back in the day, St Etienne hit the woodwork a few times that match and the ball never went in because Hampden had square posts, in fact I reckon they were wooden posts as well, most places had metal round posts by then, the French thought they were done by the posts. |  |

Just watched highlights of St Etienne hitting the woodwork a couple of times, I reckon with round posts the ball would have gone in both times.
The ball never went over the line in 66 WC final but it would not even have bounced downwards if Wembley had had square goalposts and bar. | |
