Ben Williams announcement? 17:54 - Jun 19 with 11250 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | I've just read the below announcement. He returns as Director of Sporting Operations, but it is this line I find interesting: "Ben will also have an eye on the medium term in supporting the design of infrastructure projects that the club may wish to embark upon.” https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/2025/june/19/ben-williams/

Looks like that article is from March? The club flogged the point that ‘he’s back full time’ in the announcement so will look very silly if he’s still doing this, but doubt he is?

Hopefully it’s old, out of date and no longer relevant. Hopefully! Article is dated 19th March, as you say.

I found this article as I follow cycling closely. First of all my immediate reaction was "what a f***wit" and it is indeed dated March. But Roger Hammond now works at Red Bull Bora Hansgrohe. So I think it's an old article. As much as BW is abit of a charlatan in my eyes. This article is from 2021 I think. Just strange how it's dated March 2025.

Ben Williams announcement? on 01:27 - Jun 26 with 837 views | SydneyRs | “We are proud of what we have achieved but a new chapter obviously lies ahead for us. We know how tough the competition is but there is real drive and determination from everyone here to make 2022 a very memorable year. Roger and Ben have a big part to play in that.” Call me old fashioned, but maybe read the article? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

How odd. Thanks, Mark. Weird how the date at the top of the article is 19.03.25. Anyway, good that it is actually years older and outdated. Will delete the link to avoid any further misunderstandings.

Ben Williams announcement? on 22:33 - Jun 19 by Northernr | We still haven't added a player to a team you spent all last year telling me was even worse than I thought, and I thought it was fcking horrific. |
Yes, totally, but this could be where the 'second coming' of Willams could prove crucial. As you correctly said, the club (ie Nourry) is correcting a mistake they should never have made. But IF we don't spent much money this year (and the potential sales of Eze and Varane will probably dictate that) on new players, then getting our quality players on the pitch is essential. JCS, Chair, Cook (maybe even Cellar) missed huge chunks of the season and ANY club - never mind our little tin-pot - would miss players of that quality. If we could get some or all of the above playing 30-35 games next season, it would be as good as several new signings. [Post edited 26 Jun 11:34]
