Strikes me that Dembele is excellent but we can’t train him to be taller. So we do need him at the top of his game (and the top of the class) dribbling, spatial awareness etc.

Given his lack of tracking back, I wonder if we should just Taraabt him and tell him to stay in the other half where he can really do the damage and we simply provide cover for him with others.

That seemed to work pretty well for Warnock.

Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?

I'm really intrigued to see as we start the season after about 10 games what players will step up to be classed as '1st team starters'

Dembele and Poku vying for the same spot or will one of them play off a striker. I always felt one up front didn't work for us as we didn't have players with the athleticism to run beyond the striker. I feel we are starting to get that now.
I liked Kelmans movement yesterday and he seems quite the unit now.

Chair Dembele and Poku is quite an exciting proposition and that doesn't even include Vale who looks a proper footballer. From what I saw yesterday, playing him as a left back as some thought might be the case, would be a waste of his talents

How old is Harvey Vale? He looks like some wizened old geezer whose been plying his trade at Macclesfield for the last 14 seasons.

Our Harvey is only 21 but the year he had on loan at Thunderbirds put an old head on his shoulders.

It's obviously what happens when someone spends too much time in North Battersea. Vale is just 21.

Good to hear he’s still 21 although already 27 minutes older than when first reported. Time is a bitch.
