Superb stuff fair play to relive the likes of Freddy and David Bowie, you can shove todays excuse for music where the sun doesn't shine.

I watched the three episodes back to back earlier in the week. So many memories. There was a lot going on in the background I didn't realise.

Even though Freddie was beginning to feel the effect of that terrible disease he still gave possible the best performance I've had the pleasure to watch ,again and again .

Watched it with a mixture of feelings , now going well to my mid 70s. thoroughly enjoyed it, but as most olld people do, look back in time and think WTF , how quick? look at how the worlds changed.
recorded it so will be looking at it again on another boring weekend night .

Didn't really fully appreciate them at the time or realise that they were geniuses of the music world in that period it's only when Freddie and Bowie passed that the appreciation started, Elton is still with us but he's of an age as to where he's not really able to create new material same can be said about the other talented writers/performers another sad part of getting older.

Most of today's stuff is not for me, I like Lewis Capaldi I enjoyed his set at Glastonbury this year albeit whilst watching it on the Tele. There are a few others I like, I don't really have a particular taste in music/songs, if I like a song that's good enough for me whoever has written it or performs it.

Elton
George Micheal
Quo

Yeah real mainstream bands , I don't suppose anyone will remember either for their music in 40 years time .You must have forgotten the CND & Vietnam protests of the 60s.

Woodstock back in the 1960s Liveaid 1985 about starvation in Africa , Glastonbury 2025 belongs to Bob Vylan because he poked me and everyone else.

When there are forced resignations at the BBC they must be into to something like a social nerve.

British middle class people sing "death" to a foreign military force was quite something and got immediate UK government and Pres Trump action.

They got the message loud and clear from a field in Somerset and they were all white. Crickey!

Spectacularly missing the point of the thread ,my one comment about the fraud vylan ,if you consider what his foul mouthed rant set produced could be in anyway be mentioned in the same sentence as those who've gone before then give your head a shake, you've been lied to 🤣

The language of callous indifference to butchers committing genocide. Refer to the UN reporteur Francisca Albanese. She is neutral and not extreme in any way,

Was he though?

One creative license taken in the movie Bohemian Rhapsody was the fact he wasn't diagnosed with AIDS until 1987. I can't imagine he'd be having symptoms two years earlier than he found out what it was.

In his autobiography by Mark Langstone it was written that Freddie had visited a New York doctor during their 1982 tour complaining of a sore on his tongue ,the correct name escapes me, but it is said this sore is one in many symptoms of AIDs.
