For a loan.

How often do players go on trial before a loan?

I think we're prepared to let him (and a couple of others) leave. Maybe for a low price/free with a buyback or major sell on clause included.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

He shouldn’t be moved on, he’s a very decent player with potential.

A great believer in taking anything you like to wherever you want to.

He didn't do a lot at Yeovil last season hopefully that experience will stand him in good stead, and it's a loan and he kicks on

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

The problem is where is he going to get game time this season? If, as many expect, Yates leaves and we sign another striker, then he's still going to have three ahead of him in the pecking order for us in New Boy, Vip, Wales and even Cullen.

He turns 21 this season. He should have been out on loan as much as possible for the last two or three years playing actual competitive football instead of stagnating in the u23's. We keep doing that to players, limiting their development at a crucial time, and it needs to stop.

To me it makes more sense for him and us to let the boy go off and play, but cover ourselves with a buyback or hefty sell on in case he does develop that well elsewhere.

You are right. If he is on trial then it's for a permanent move

Ben Lloyd was on trial at Cheltenham recently, now at Newport - I presume this is for a loan.
Is this a new thing for loanees, perhaps?

Lloyd played for Cheltenham on trail pending a loan about 10 days ago. Now training with Newport pending a loan, times are different now. Quite often we don't hear of the pre loan work. Both are highly valued by the club and won't be sold on the cheap.

Exactly. The club have announced nothing regarding these two as is normal until a loan is actually agreed. We usually don't find out about the pre loan work. Now we find out due to the power of the Internet. Wilson has two years left on his contract so is tied. Lloyd in in his last year and may want to agree a one year extension before a loan is tied up. The last thing we want is players to go out on loan and play well and they can walk away for only a development fee.

Cullen is the must pampered player in Swansea history. He is still trying to establish himself at 26. He was a poor on loan at Lincoln with 1 goal in 20 games.

Not fast and not muscular either but ac lever footballer who is getting slightly better year on year and still does not have a fixed position in the team. A spectacular diving header was good to see. I believe Swnsea have left a lot of goal behind from aerial crosses not being burred.

Wilson and Lloyd deserve similar patience. Ngingo, Bates Jnr and Woodward are coming through the ranks as strikers. Not sure in Ngingo is still in the picture.
