Sorry to hear your news. I write as someone who was made redundant five times over the course of their career.
One approach could be to look for a short term contract role. Such roles can become permanent ones over time and contract roles are also sometimes a way to get into sectors which would be hard to break into otherwise, for reasons of lack of experience.
My last two permanent jobs were initially contract roles in industries for which I was quite poorly qualified. I spent over 10 years at the first company and over five at the second.
