The King is due to receive a $60m pay rise this year. This rise is mostly for increased profits at the Crown Estates and most of the profits are from off shore wind farms.
A large percentage of offshore wind farms are in offshore Wales. We citizens have to put up with the turbines and pylons and the King pockets the profits.
The Senedd asked for parity with Scotland on this I but it was declined. Many Welsh people do not want to control their assets and the money goes to the south east.
I read that the King took 25% of offshore wind fees. I read somewhere ha had agreed a reduction to half that Offshore wind fes for England and Wales could be £400m with Wales perhaps 25% of that.

Loved the 2012 olympics.
Went for two days - nothing big, handball and diving.
I remember it as an incredibly positive time. We’d had the financial crisis and the slow death of New Labour and it brought some much needed joy to the country.
The opening ceremony showing to the world all that’s good about Great Britain, super Saturday and Bolt in his pomp.

Ironic that you mention the 2008 - 2009 financial crisis. The way I see it that and the 2012 Olympics were schemes to fleece the taxpayer of the nation and centralise it in a few hands in the London area.
Obscene bankers bonuses the banks could not pay a so the taxpayer did it for them. Where did this cash go. ? Straight into London property market including the new Stratford flats.
The saucy magazine publishers and "Cockney" Sullivan from Penarth will cash in real big eventually.
You see what is happening but cannot join the dots.

Then again only one airport in Wales, the Senedd bought it and can't turn a profit. Jobs you say, the Olympics created over 100,000. Then again you don't like facts. Millions enjoy the Olympics, Cardiff Airport can't do more than 900,000 passengers, while another airport 60 miles up the road carries over 10,000,000 and 2,000,000 of those are from Wales.
