I've always just taken the met line, but I see there's a southern rail train from Shepherd's Bush at 13:55 which should get me to the ground by 14:45. Anyone advise against that?

Fair walk from WJ to the ground and it’ll be the usual crush to get in near kick-off. Assuming it’s vaguely on time you’d be just about fine but chancing it with it due to arrive at 14:22 so call it 14:30 once it’s a few minutes late and you get through the station so about 14:50 with a fast walk.
