You’re welcome. Solid performance but Shrewsbury were poor. Still, you can only beat who’s in front of you.
Yes they were very poor, but I thought our shape was better today so we looked solid defensively. Payne is always excellent and Read had a terrific game. Powell looks like he might be a real find, even if for only a season. And good to see Thorn being used as a finisher where his pace is a nightmare for the opposition. And two clinical finishes. A very satisfactory performance.

Up the U's!
Totally, and I think I might be developing a bit of bromance for Oscar Thorn, he really is becoming an absolute star down the right when he comes on. The only concern is the injury to Perry, hope it’s not serious.
Spot on! 2-0 to the Us and our first win of the season. Now let's build on it...

On the subject of building on it, we’ve now got three very winnable games on the trot coming up, home to t’other CUFC and Bromley, and the trip to currently struggling Barnet. If we genuinely want to challenge for promotion that has to be 9pts, but I’d take 7.
Btw, with less than a fortnight to go I’m surprised the Barnet tickets aren’t on sale yet, reckon it’ll be a popular trip for the Faithful.
