I honestly don't know. I was disappointed when it didn't happen, but the reports never sounded all that promising. But I don't know if it was 1) we weren't that interested, 2) he wasn't interested in a return to Swansea, or 3) Hull was ready/able to pay better wages. Honestly, I tuned out to the discussion out of my disappointment.
All I know is that it's the one missing piece of the puzzle. We need to striker to connect on the type of cross Cullen whiffed on with the chance to make to 2-0 yesterday. | |

I'm hoping we get better and younger with a resale value. I like many was disappointed when we didn't get O'brien, but after watching Galbraith yesterday feel we could have a better player in a relatively short time, the lad is destined for the Premier League. Why can't this be the case with any forward we get, the recruitment team seem to be sourcing excellent players. |  | | |

With a decent striker, which McBurnie is, we’d have buried Sheffield United and may well have got something at Middlesborough. He’s a long way ahead of anyone we have at the moment.
If we manage to sign this game changing striker from mainland Europe, happy days. I just hope we haven’t got too many eggs in one basket with two weeks left of the window.

I read, sorry that I can't remember where, that there were talks with him. It never said who the talks were with. He was offered more than Hull were willing to give him but preferred Hull for whatever reason. Perhaps he's settled up North ? Has a house there or something. Whatever at the end of the day as he hasn't come here. I don't think he'll be standing on the terraces with us anymore. | | | |
