When was the last time we won the first 3 games?

This is the most optimistic I've been for aeons and feel it's fine to get carried away after 3 games, we can some real damage against teams this season.

Mcnultys assembled a great squad.

Really looking forward to games against Southend and York to tussle with the favourites in this division, toe to toe, see where we are at a squad.

I expect Dale to put in a performance against the new boys Brackley on Saturday. I'm sure Mcnulty will make sure the players aren't satisfied with what has been achieved so far.

I think it was Steve Parkins first season here. 99/00. Cheltenham 0 Dale 2, Dale 2 Southend 0, York 0 Dale 3.

Yep, and for only the fifth time in the club's history:

1927/28
1957/58
1985/86
1999/2000
2025/26

If you don't know why your posts keep getting downvoted, there's no hope for you.

And to add, having also beaten Burnley U21 last week, it's the first time we have won our opening four games in all competitions since 1927/28.

Are we allowed to be a bit greedy and expect another victory on Saturday and create a new record?

Why not, but with the caviat nothing is a given in this league. One of our failings last season was an ability not to do well against teams perceived as "beatable" .....no offence to the new boys Brackley who will be out to beat the League Leaders in a couple of days.

Momentum is crucial, don't let our performances drop.

Based on the way we're playing and the quality we have in the squad, I'm expecting us to go 5 wins out of 5. We have incredible momentum.

I've been very critical of McNulty and wanted him sacked at various points last season. The football was slow, boring and ultimately... Unsuccessful.

I couldn't be more delighted to be having McNulty proving me wrong. It looks as though he's learned lessons. And the signings he's brought in are allowing him to play the way he has always wanted to. Fair play.

I hope to be drafting my public apology in 6 months.

Just as a side note... I'm loving the aggression we're showing. 2 games in the last 5 days and we've had 2 scraps/fights. Before then I can't remember the last time we were so involved and 'up for it'. I'm sick to death of winning the fair play award so this stands us in good stead to avoid winning it again.

Up The Dale!

The 27/28 one were all league games so we'd have to win Saturday/Monday to create history (league wise).
