NOW. Each as clueless as the other. Taking the club even further backwards. Marti was bang on (and got put on gardening leave (aka sacked) presumably for continually calling Nourry out for precisely what he is)

Said it before , we are basically a forgotten direct debit that has been forgot about on their bank statements! Look at Birmingham and Wrexham , I am in no way advocating anything positive about these clubs but they both have passionate owners who know absolutely fck all about the English football league and both will somehow be playing premier league football before we will again

And they don't turn up to games , they don't give a shit!

This ownership has been a disaster and I’ve been as critical as any but, in Reuben’s defence, he’s been left holding the baby. Fernandes and his ego was the real wrecking ball that set all this in motion. It was just a toy for Amit bought by his in-laws to give him something to do.

Reuben clearly doesn’t know what he’s doing when it comes to running a football club but (1) he pays the bills and (2) he’s either recognised that he’s clueless or circumstances have dictated that he’s had to take a step back. Under those circumstances his only option is to appoint someone to run it for him. Recruitment is everything. Whatever anyone thinks of him, I suspect he has enough common sense not to hand the keys to someone with Nourry’s profile. I would have thought the plan was to bring him in with fresh ideas etc but to be mentored by someone with some experience. Which brings us to Lee Hoos. WTF is he doing and why aren’t questions being asked of him? He may not be a ’football man’ in the sense of working on the playing side, but he’s a very experienced CEO. Where is he, wtf is he doing? If I were Reuben it’d be him I’d be bollocking.

CEOs/Chairmen don't get fired that easily or quickly. The club will most likely have to destroy one or two more Head Coaches first.

Nice of you to pop your head out with such a well oiled statement.

In 99% of football clubs you don’t lose 7-1 and have a thread about the CEO. The reason we do is because he has made it his mission to show the world this is his ship and he’s deciding our recruitment, financial, and “game model” decisions.

Therefore, it is his head on the block. If this continues into September it should be him that is sacked first. This is his (damned) ship.

Is it possible that all the players detest Nourry and part of their affection toward Marti was his resistance to his ridiculous ideas like playing teenagers at full back, not bothering with any fitness training until the new year, playing school kids in the league cup and throwing a GK the no.1 jersey based purely upon his age / resale value?

And is it now possible that Stephan is bending over to all of these Nourry demands and the players now have zero respect for their boss?

That vomit on the pitch today is the result of more than a tactical mismatch or better players. They did nothing. They just wandered around as strangers for 90 minutes.

There has been way too many mentions of Marti today from fans so yes it is possible that some players are also experiencing the post Marti blues especially if Nourry is also in their ears at the training ground.

Yeah, I don’t think today has any relation to Cifuentes.

However, I do believe the players detest Nourry and Williams. I’m pretty sure the latter is true based on what I’d heard about the cycling idiot. And those two come as a pair, thick as thieves, so it would make sense.

There is something off with the dressing room and attitude. You don’t get bummed in the gob 7-1 to a side on a very similar budget to you, and there not be.

Remember Mel Johnson’s son is the Head of Recruitment at Coventry? Mel wasn’t overly flattering about the direction Nourry was taking the club and was at pains to say his son balances the approach a lot more…

Someone mentioned the lack of team celebration for Morgan's goal at Watford which is a valid point and something i noticed at the time. Only Morrison seemed to raise his arms in celebration.

I can't believe Lee Hoos couldn't see what would happen when you put a rich kid who's never had a real job in his life in charge of a football club and give him carte blanche to run everything...

Maybe Hoos did it on purpose…

Scooters, Tunes, Trainers and QPR.

A penny for Jimmy Dunne's thoughts today as a man who could've surely had his pick of Championship clubs. If everything in the camp is quite so bad why did he choose to commit his best remaining years to us?

Real difference I feel in identity with QPR vs other Championship clubs. Coventry are on the up, have a clear way of playing with attacking football and no shortage of quality. Are all of their players being sold on 'the project' like our new signings are? Can't help but feel if you're told "have one good season here then you'll be off" it doesn't engender a particular sense of pride in wearing the badge.

Same with Millwall, you know exactly what you're going to get with them - even Sheffield Wednesday managed to fight back for a draw today while we were totally gutless.

Ruined the momentum big time

Dunne has been around long enough to know that nonsense could have happened but what the hell is Kone thinking this morning when he wakes up and reads the reports and socials.

I imagine the training ground conversations next week might be among the lines of, ‘So, Gaffer, this project - remind me again what the objectives were and can we double check if my contract still has the release clause in it ?’

‘Don’t worry, Dick - you are first on the Timshit !’

This.

I noticed this, and it rang alarm bells. Somebody mentioned the obvious fact that we were still losing but the point should have been that we, somehow got a goal back, against the run of play, so every team member, to a man, should have been celebrating the fact that we were back in the game. And that, unforgivably was not the case.

No excuses on this, imagine how you would have felt?! Still. losing, but found ourselves with a way back into the game. Let's 'ave it.

Anything less and you don't belong, or in 2025 speak, you've not bought in to the pro7ect!

And that was one of the massive things under the ‘we’ve got our rangers back’ marti era. Even in bad times, they all seemed to care, to look after each other, to have the almost-fabled ‘team spirit’ ’ that had long been lost. And now it looks like it’s gone again

Whoops downvoted original post by mistake, sorry. Totally embarrassing yesterday and it has been coming. Makes the cup toss off even more unforgivable and inexplicable. Still, Kone may have added to his sell on value so project still on track.

FWIW - I don’t think Julien Stephen is the problem and I don’t think Nourry is evil/smug/c*nt etc.

The responsibility has to fall on the owners. They’re the big decision makers and have consistently been wrong.

It’s clear the ‘game model’ is leaving us very vulnerable - injuries to players, risky transfers, resulting in poor performances. Marti obviously couldn’t accept it and I suspect JS won’t either as when results go south no manger with any professional integrity can stand by. As we saw with Marti this led to conflict and I suspect it will with JS eventually.

The results speak for themselves, the owners need to go back to the drawing board.

While the criticism on Playstation Tony was legitimate, honestly I find it quite baffling how many are severely against this current ownership group. They put in their 2 million a month and entrust their 'expert' employees to deliver. They have built the training ground and stayed committed.

What do you want, a Marinakis/Briatore type who gets involved in the day to day running of the football, no?

They go down the DOF and jobs for the boys route with Les and Chris Ramsey, they were patient, and it didnt work. Fans asked for something different...

They said "be more like Brenford, Brighton et al. and be data focused" and now we are doing elements of that and we are already giving up. Its not going to be a sudden fix!

I am not saying they are blameless, the CN appointment is somewhat of a gamble, and how Andy Belk still has a job is beyond me. but with all thats going on at Shef Wed., Reading etc. I think we need to be a little careful what we wish for.

Those at the club need to take accountability for their own departments. We are far off the pace physically, that is Ben Williams and team's fault, not Ruben's sitting in Malaysia!!

If you read any business leader book the key message is know your limitations and hire the best people you can to do a job. Its now time for the players and staff to pull their finger out!

Owners OUT, Nourry OUT on 16:41 - Aug 23 by qprd

yes.... all football clubs in this division lose money

there will be some rich american or arab who will be willing to eat those losses

If that was the case we’d have been sold already. Why would anyone by QPR in its current state. Whilst the training facilities are a big step forward we have no other real assets which can be used for building income

The stadium can’t be renovated and makes us no money. Unless a new ground can be found we will always be punching well below the weight required to be top half championship/ lower table premier

And there’s so many clubs ahead of us for investors who want to buy a football club

So we’re stuck with the owners just as they are stuck with the club

The only way to progress the football club is to probably leave LR - but that’s one of the reasons we all fell in love with QPR in the first place

I think the only way the club gets bought or sold is if we either go up a league or down a league and I think we all know what probably more likely

I reckon the players need to have a sincere look at themselves. All very well blaming the board, but that was on the players. Our goalkeeper is garbage and boy did Coventry know it?

We had experienced pros out there and the lack of professionalism from them is unforgivable.

I don’t think they are remotely physically ready to compete at the minute. Speed, strength, stamina…all shocking. The fact it seems to be across the board makes it clear it’s a Williams issue. We’re sending the team out miles undercooked.
