Who is to blame for the defeat v Stoke? on 21:40 - Aug 23 by SonicBoom
I would say the 'blame' is probably with whoever identifies signings. Over the last 2 or 3 years we've signed players who have not been good enough. Now we have lots of players in the 8 to 15 mill bracket, and the vast majority are distinctly average.
Spot on.
We thought that we had the answers,
It was the questions we had wrong.
""It's a frustrating one. We've gifted them two goals again. We don't need to play balls inside.
"That's been one of our main points. We need to stop playing that sort of short pass inside, because it's the ideal moment for the opposition to press and we've done it three times.
"We didn't get punished in the first half for doing it. Probably [they are habits the players have got into] but we just need to unlearn that."

This is right Our signings bar Matty have been awful and then w have sold only to replace with equally awful That plus playing a back 3 and not playing ppl in their preferred positions Letβs try a back 4 with a RB and LB being players who are that

At least WS realises one of the main problems!

Yes, exactly that.
RM is not the one "to blame" for yesterday, but it's undeniable that the habits learned under him live on as Will Still is saying. He's talked more than once about how we play too slow, play too many short passes and invite pressure. All of those are straight out of the RM playbook.
I suspect from WS's words that they play the way he wants, with much more tempo in training, but when the pressure is on in matches, they revert back to old habits. It's hardly surprising as most of this team came together under RM and that's how they're used to playing together. It's a human thing to do and difficult for WS to get them to "unlearn" that. The ghost of Rusty lives on.

I think heβs right, they keep reverting to Russ football. Particularly Manning yesterday, against Wrexham he beat his man and crossed for the winner yesterday he went back to looping in hopefull balls straight to the keeper too scared to take his man on.

FΓΊcking hilarious kid. Weβve had Juric and Rusk since Martin. Brilliant. Lolling my bΓ²llocks off. X
To use some now slightly Hackneyed phraseology, Rylan laid the foundations so yes, a lot of the issues (some say most) we now have stem from that. Consequently, the new manager inherited a black hole in our team after eighteen months of Rylan misrule and we can only hope that Still, Will smash the gang like negativity of the squad and build a better team. In short, itβs time for change for the many, not the Jew. Sorry, few.
