Our so-called strikers. The only forward we have who offers any goal threat is Jay Robinson.
We have needed a decent centre forward for so long and we need one now more than ever. Apart from Robinson about the only players we have who can score are defenders.
If only we could swap Archer, Armstrong, Stewart and Downs for a goalscoring centre forward.
SR and their “clever” thinking. What other club buys 2 expensive young players at this level and make the team worse. I Don’t mind will Still and think he will come 𝔾𝕠𝕠𝕕. However Mark Robins would have been a great appointment. But he’s not a cool name. Up front we are so blunt. Armstrong has never been able to play through the middle. If tall Paul had missed Stewart’s chance Nick would be slating him in his report. Letting him go this season for money that we would waste on a crap youngster was brainless. He would score a lot with this style of football and at this level. Why play 5 at the back against a team that just wants to sit back
It's very frustrating. Not much wrong with the effort and intent but it is such a struggle to score. Mostly defenders scoring our goals. That tells you something really. Just buy a f@cking striker. And not an 18 year old potential. We need one that can score now. Sport Republic are again ultimately to blame. Each manager never quite has the resources needed. We can't score goals because we.dont have any quality up front.
We are still trying to get rid of the safety first approach and that may take a while. Martin introduced a system that these guys might not be able to forget quickly, muscle memory?

Russell Martin not only introduced the possession system he was guilty of creating a lazy. laid back culture, which is ingrained in the players. Although I personally don't think Will Still was the right man for what is a very difficult job but I cannot apportion any blame on him at this stage of the season, he's only just realising what a rubbish squad he has to work with, if he can get them into the top six at end of season I'd be surprised.

It’s all so boring How on earth can we keep making the same mistakes everywhere If only we had signed Johansen All our strikers are crap yet Still plays AA as a lone striker again, subbing him at HT only proves how bad a n idea that was, yet his replacement is cack too We cannot hit the target or work their keeper enough Our keeper parries it back out to them We play a back 3 AGAIN which doesn’t work AGAIN Rinse and repeat

got a sneaky feeling saints are going to be mega busy in the transfer market
They'll be more going out than there will be coming in & those that come in won't be as good the ones going out. We've only played 3 games & I'm starting to feel depressed already. That's what Sporting Republic do to you.

To be fair, Jay was unlucky to hit the post twice.

Fúcking hilarious kid. We’ve had Juric and Rusk since Martin. Brilliant. Lolling my bòllocks off. X
We thought that we had the answers,
It was the questions we had wrong.

Does that mean desperation again? Hopefully this guy Roerslev will be an improvement on what we've got. Ok, he only had 10 minutes or so today but let's see if he can make an impression
I would say the 'blame' is probably with whoever identifies signings. Over the last 2 or 3 years we've signed players who have not been good enough. Now we have lots of players in the 8 to 15 mill bracket, and the vast majority are distinctly average.
