Rating for this Summers Transfer Window 21:26 - Aug 31 with 4377 views | numptydumpty | A lot of new faces in, both for the senior squad QPR confirmed transfers in: Summer 2025 Karamoko Dembele (£2.5m from Brest) Amadou Mbengue (free) Kealey Adamson (undisclosed from Macarthur FC) Kwame Poku (undisclosed from Peterborough) £900k Rumarn Burrell (undisclosed from Burton Albion) £1.2m Richard Kone (undisclosed from Wycombe Wanderers)£2.8m Isaac Hayden (free from Newcastle United) Rhys Norrington-Davies (loan from Sheffield United) Koki Saito (undisclosed from Lommel) £2.8m Would add Harvey Vale here also, ie was injured until now. Around £10.2m QPR confirmed transfers out: Summer 2025 Kenneth Paal (free) Murphy Cooper (loan to Barnsley) Nathan Shepperd (free to The New Saints) Lucas Andersen (free) Hevertton Santos (loan to Gil Vicente) Morgan Fox (free) Jack Colback (free) Charlie Kelman (£3.5m to Charlton Athletic) Alfie Lloyd (loan to Leyton Orient) Zan Celar (loan to Fortuna Dusseldorf) Money in for Eze around £6m Around £9.5m So maybe currently about even money thanks to Monsieur Eze.... Anymore ins and outs expected - loans or purchases or sales... I can't see anymore. Unless a massive coup with Edwards. Would like Daniel Bennie, Pearman and Emerson Sutton to get half season loans But on paper seems a very good window and without losing anyone of note as yet. [Post edited 31 Aug 22:17]

Rating for this Summers Transfer Window on 06:33 - Sep 2 by SimonD | "Concerns are where on earth we've got the money from to stay within PSR rules but thats probably a concern for further down the line and may well be a gamble that the rules are going to change. We do seem to have signed a few players who shouldn't need replacing within 6 months which would be progress on previous years" I haven't got any concerns regarding FFP Dave. As was pointed out by Padulas Shampoo, there is a significant loss (around £7m more than the following season's loss) rolling out of our equation. In addition to this, there is the increase in revenue from the new Sky TV deal which came into effect last season to be considered and, as from this season, the cost of living increase in the FFP disallowables. |
thats good to hear, does feel a bit odd though as we spent a fair chunk last summer, around 10million this year without any major sales yet thats all fine but year before under ainsworth they were chucking everything overboard to try and stay safe and deferring fees and wages. I don't doubt you and of course the eze money is big for us but all feels a bit odd

Rating for this Summers Transfer Window on 10:41 - Sep 2 by SimonD | I totally agree Hunter that we'd be made to put ourselves back in to that position, but I don't think we were even before the Eze money. The cost of living increases are significant. £2.5m for last season (I believe designed to replace the last of the Covid allowances that was rolling out) and now £3.5m per season increase. The increase in TV revenue will become apparent in the next set of accounts, but IIRC is at least £2m and, of course, the cost of our player purchases will be amortised. The sale of Kelman (and Armstrong last season) is important, but as you so rightly say, this has to continue. [Post edited 2 Sep 10:41]

"...of course, the cost of our player purchases will be amortised. " Simon - can I just check that this means the fees we have paid for players is spread across the length of the players contract? Or have I misunderstood?

Colback was reputed to be 1 of our top earners. Then you have Hevertton, Paal, Fox, Richards and Celar. Did we get loan fees for Cooper and Lloyd? Supposedly getting some fee for Talla.

I’ve plugged it in and it heated my food. Let’s come back in 6mths and assess whether the microwave has broken down every couple of weeks or does not defrost like I was expecting. In all seriousness from what I witnessed on Saturday the signs are good at least for the attacking options we have brought in - Kone, Burrell and Koki. Mbengue I’m still a little nervous about - more so in how many yellows/reds/penalties he might rack up. RND and Hayden too early to tell.

Hayden we basically know what we’re getting and if we can keep him fit then he should be good. I’ve been quite surprised by all the positive reviews of RND after his first match and will be interested to see if it lasts.
