Ramsdale replaced by Long, sorry but your entire argument is flawed before it is started by claiming that, Long came in to replace Lumley as third choice.
1) Ramsdale replaced by Long, as I said i don't think anyone would say that this is a direct replacement.
2) Bednarek replaced by Quarshie, yes a centre back has left and another arrived, but Quarshie is not a replacement as has been shown by his position in the pecking order, when Bednarek arrived he didn't make his league debut for 8 months he was given time to develop after that.
3) KWP replaced by Roerslev, he has only played in 3 matches so far lets give him time, there is also Jelert to consider too.
4) Fernández replaced by Azaz of course Fernandes is the better player, but lets see if Azaz if the man to get us out of the Championship and in this respect he could be a good signing.
5) Sulemama replaced by Fellows This is a no brainer Fellows has done it in this division and Sulemana hasn't.
6) Onuacho replaced by Downs, As it stands Downs could be a better signing, he is certainly no worse than Onuachu was in his first games at the club |  |

But I would argue that we lose a first choice keeper & replace him with a 3rd choice keeper.

When its written like that only Fellows looks better, whoever thinks Bazunu is NO1 shouldn't be anywhere near a football club, McCarthy isn't any better, the same for Stephens, at least Manning will get replaced. [Post edited 1 Sep 12:42]

No, Dibling was replaced by Fellows.
- They are similar players
- They play in the same position
- If we hadn't sold Dibling, we wouldn't have bought Fellows (same with Fernandes and Azaz, to spend decent money we have to sell bigger first)

1) Agree Baz was the downgrade on Ramsdale.
2) We dont have time to let Quarshie spend a season getting up to speed. Bednerek was a full international, replacing him with a 17year old is bananas.
3) KWP going on a free, meant it was inevitable that it would be a downgrade.

We have to agree to disagree about Bazunu, he is a Championship keeper as was shown during our last promotion season.
My point was though Ramsdale came in to replace Bazunu who would be out for the season, , now he has gone Bazunu is fit again and back in, Long is to replace Lumley who also left.
From this perspective our goalkeeping department is at exactly the same point it was this time 2 years ago, Bazunu number 1, then McCarthy and another keeper
