I wonder how much we had to pay him to leave?

But better to get him away from the place. I wonder where he’ll turn up next, or whether the football community will have some collective sense and say ‘no thank you’!!

Even better is clubs paying transfer fees over a set amount of years, the selling club then sell the debt to a financial institution to get that money in early. Imagine if the buying club gets into financial difficulty or is relegated.

The total owed in deferred transfer payments in the PL is £3b !!!

I keep wondering if the whole house of cards will fall, but I've been wondering that from about 1996 and it hasn't yet.

You can kill a club, but you can’t kill an idea

Debt factoring isn't entirely uncommon in the business world, especially for cash hungry businesses.

Its very expensive though.

I think he might be finished.
Wiki says 70 odd apps for a player who is 25 in December.

I also think there is so much more around culture and so on, which makes me think its going to be very difficult for him to find a club or manager who thinks... he is worth taking a risk on

With the word on the street in the lower divisions being out about him being a wrong 'un then I would agree.

I'm sure certain clubs may have looked at, what I believe was, his successful time at Doncaster and think they could have something on the cheap. That then get's thrown into the skip by what he did at Cambridge and helped cost Gary Monk his job.
The network is tight, small and can be fiercely loyal...... bridges can be burned very, very easily in the football world.

I get people on this thread alluding to concerns on TR's "mental state".
Just imagine what his mental state will be in a couple of years time when all that easy money has dried up.
My spread bet is page 15 of The Sun sometime in 2027

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
