I’ve not traveled for a few years with England (too expensive), but wondered which of us Uglies might have traveled the furthest, here’s my longest journey who can beat it.
Sept 2011 vs Bulgaria in Sofia 3-0 win for England

Mini bus to a game in Bratislava in 2002. Wrong turning taken which took us to the edge of Brussels, missed junctions on autobahn which added something like 100 miles, held and fined at Czech border, held and fined 20 yards later at Slovak border, motorway shut because of the rain (one of the fines was because we didn't have a sticker which enabled us to drive on the motorway-a sticker we couldn't buy till we went past the very people fining us) alcohol ban in Bratislava, match in doubt because of the rain and stories of an England fan getting shot. We went home via Amsterdam as we deserved it

Well 76 you would probably get the prize for the most difficult journey (if there was a prize), but I reckon I’m still leading on the furthest miles front.

England vs Romania, Euro 2000, Charleroi, Belgium. Romania won it 3-2 with an 89th minute penalty. Gutting.

Bad karma around the place before the game due to lots of trouble in previous games & the Belgian police being like the SS towards England fans. I've never been searched so many times in one day!

That's the only time I've travelled abroad to watch England play. Used to go to Wembley with my lad a lot to watch them but became a tad disillusioned with the national team.

Me and 2 mates were gonna cruise to new York from Southampton and do all the England games as we all turn 50 this year or next but then I realised this was a ridiculous idea as I’m self employed and skint.
We planned it 5 years ago I just assumed by 50 I’d be loaded.

I went to the last two World Cups in Qatar and Russia.

Done various other jaunts for away games and Euros, but those were the furthest.

Quite a lot of Saints do follow England more regularly than me. I don't have enough caps entitlement to go to games like the game in Belgrade on Tuesday.

lol, sounds like a mirror of my own life planning!

I do the lottery - but I couldn't even win an argument.

I'm so unlucky that if I fell into a barrel full of t*ts - I'd come up sucking my thumb.

I went to all our games in Euro 2000.

Was stood in our end near Westwood for the Romania game, and weirdly near Angus Deayton for the Germany game.

That Germany game, our stand was literally shaking with all the noise our lot were making, and I could remember seeing the floodlights moving. Keegan commented on it after the game.

On a similar-ish note ; when me and my lad were leaving the San Siro after the Milan defeat, we got talking to Tiff Needell, the car journo & motor racing bloke. Never even knew he was a Saints fan! Nice bloke though. Bumped into him again at Anfield some months later and said hello, etc. Probably thought I was stalking him...

Looks like Hedgeend and Pat are in the lead having supported England in Qatar, can anybody go the extra mile and beat this 4000+ mile journey?

Completely boycotted the Qatar tournament and didn’t watch a single minute on telly. This mainly due to corrupt FIFA and Qatars discrimination of women, migrant workers human rights and abuse against LGBTQ+ community. I may have only been one person but sometimes you have to see the bigger picture.

Qatar is beginning to look like a walk in the park compared with Saudi in 2034.

I think even I would probably boycott that one……
