Good start 🙄

New Zealand international Marko Stamenić is currently suffering from a slight adductor injury, ruling him out of the Soccer Ashes matches against Australia. He was injured during the All Whites' camp and has returned to Swansea to continue his recovery.

What is the injury?
Marko Stamenić has a slight adductor injury.

He suffered the injury while with the New Zealand national team.

What does this mean for him?
He will not participate in the two-match Soccer Ashes series against Australia.
He is returning to his club, Swansea, to recover.

An adductor injury in football is a strain or tear of the muscles on the inner thigh, most commonly the adductor longus, which can occur during sudden changes of direction, kicking, or forceful stretching. Symptoms include groin pain, and the injury is graded from mild to complete tears, requiring rest and rehabilitation. Treatment and recovery time vary based on the grade, with complete recovery from a third-degree tear taking several months.

This is why I'd be more than happy if none of our players ever got an International call up again.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

With a total of six games coming up for all of our international players until November there’s bound to be more grief.

It is what it is.

We are lucky enough to have players who are good enough to play for their countries.

Playing for your country is the pinnacle of your career.

When we sign players who are internationals we get excited as we know they must be decent.

I dont think these lot care if some our supporters dont want them playing for their countries, I wouldn't anyway.

Had cramp in my adductor muscle in my left leg a few months ago, one of the most painful things I've ever suffered I was soaking with sweat I thought I was on my way to having a heart attack [not like me to be dramatic of course , taught me a lesson though, to do regular stretches most days, although I felt today was driving to a job in gower rd from cwmdare,

I hope Stamenic's injury isn't to bad, he's been decent from what I've seen of him.

The more successful,we get, the more International players we will have.
If we have a team full of Internations, we know we are doing well.
Or of course, we can have no ambition and no Internationals.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

If I had a choice between a Premier League team with no Internationals or a League One team full of Welsh Internationals I know which one I'd pick.

But then I am a Swansea City fan first and foremost. I can't speak for anyone else.

Thats a bit of a silly comment doc, it isnt like you, if we are to be a PL team again there is no chance whatsoever that we wouldn't have an international.

I cant be bothered to look back but I suspect we had quite a few when we were last there.

That as may be, but I reject the idea that I'm supposed to care that our players get called up or rejoice that they do.

International football is a bit bonkers if you think about it. Professional Clubs spend a fortune developing, signing and paying players, yet supporters are expected to be pleased when a National Association demands to be able to use them and pays the bare minimum for the privilege.

International football would mean a lot more if it was restricted to Amateurs only.

Well you speak for me
Wales games are ok when there’s no league action
Our lads injured on meaningless friendlies is absolute madness
We’ve lost this excellent lad for his call up to the Kiwi outfit which 95 per cent of the country won’t give a shitsout
They play the Saffas on Saturday ffs

The players choose to go, it isn't mandatory.

You have your opinion and I have mine 👍

I was in bed at the time, Pilot isn't open at 4am, need to keep your legs strong and reasonably fit after 50, I'm in my 60's and I hadn't been aduring to the Doctors advice, all changed now.

Actually it is mandatory. A player can be banned from playing for his club if he refuses to turn out for his country.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/58522907

The rule is rarely enforced, but it exists. Which is another reason to burn FIFA to the ground and salt the ashes so it can't grow back.

That really enforces my opinion that playing for your country is the pinnacle of one's career 😉

It may be be the pinnacle of a career but most fans prioritise their club before country
However, if coming from a town with no pro club and rural then the national team is pre eminent
That’s why so many Gogs follow Wales closer than urban southern Wales

I’d suggest Seans getting back to PL beats Wales qualifying for the Euro competitions

Hope his injury is minor.
Really like what I see with Staminic.
Would have thought he'd be chomping at the bit to play against Forest.

Right from the off , his yellow card, he looks the business
However, now we have a big squad but I don’t see why Fulton should play now, at all

Think fans are getting excited

Can’t wait for this Bluddy break to end
