It will be interesting next week because Stoke have two flying wingers and play a very similar style of football. Will be interesting to see how he sets up to counter their speed on the wing as well.

Sounds like a fit Smyth would be useful

I'm warming to him too, and his very promising squad. On the subject of the latter, is this now a better squad than Warburton had when his star was at its shiniest? (I don't mean that in a disrespectful way - far from it.)

I have thought this quietly for quite some time.
The squad depth is deep and top players with proven quality are at times going to be atruggling to even get a place on the bench.
I am like most. I dont want to completely open up about the possibilities of this group of players, but safe to say, i seriously don't think we will have the troubles of last few seasons.
I think the transfer window we had, has been close to our best window for decades. And this will wind some up but Belk and Nourry, i believe this is Belks domain but i feel this is where Nourry' nouse comes in. If we lose seven one, its all on Christian, but if we win two games consecutively and find goals plentiful, its always anyone to praise apart from Nourry.
Think the managers quiet strength and likability, together with a definite steeliness.to battle, will bring us all a long way..
