Away wins 21:50 - Sep 16 with 1356 viewsstowmarketrange

The last 4 away league games I’ve been to have resulted in us winning all of them.I couldn’t make Watford or Coventry, but I was at Oxford,Preston,Sunderland and Wrexham.I don’t suppose you can count the friendly at Chelmsford in July.
After only seeing a few away wins in all the games I’ve been to since Covid I feel very lucky to have seen 4 on the trot.
Anyone on a longer run?

My boy has been to 10 away games and not seen a win yet. Do you fancy taking him with you on your next trip?

Weirdly, our away form has been better than at home (Coventry excepted) . I am looking forward to Loftus Road becoming - if not a ‘fortress’ - then a place where oppo teams do not enjoy coming to. We are off to a solid start, with 4/6, so hopefully maintain the unbeaten home form against Stoke.

Got me thinking.

Used to do lots of away games in the 70’s, 80’s, tailed off in the 90’s but a mini renaissance in the 00’s and 10’s.

20’s haven’t seen an away win, in fact just noticed that the last one attended was three and a half years ago, Millwall in Feb 22 if memory serves.

Mixture of our phobia to London based leagues, a self imposed 100 mile exclusion zone, the consequential deficit in loyalty points and life in general.

Tough and expensive slog with our railways, fair play to all those who get around the grounds.

NO!!!!
For the greater good, your son has to start attending Chelsea games and the rest of us have to club together to buy Stowmarket an away season ticket.

Wouldn't work. I can't afford the amount of disinfectant required when he returns after every Chelsea game.

Can’t beat this but my son who is 12 has an away record of W8, D7, L1, unbelievable considering how poor we have been away over the years. My son’s Home record is fairly poor has only seen us win 4 matches out of nearly 20.
