You are a mover and a shaker chap, happy to chip in a few quid if you want to give it a go

But seriously, not exactly news, we already know the club is up for sale. The question is why the announcement now? My two-penneth, either we’re not getting the offers that RC can accept, or we’re trying to put pressure on someone already interested to improve their offer or lose out. Maybe the Yanks are still out there?

Holy shite! That reads like an XXL portion of BS, delusion and desperation in equal measures. At least it throws a bone to gullible supporters to keep them on side.

IMO, anyone who cared about the long-term future of the club would be wiping the stupid debts and looking for one, or a small group of British people, preferably local to take over the reins. There is no shortage of wealthy British people, but unfortunately most of them are not stupid.

Whereas it could be said, that anyone looking to get back as much money as possible, at whatever cost, would be fishing for a, thick as pig shit, super-rich Jonnie Foreigner who may be stupid enough to think it’s a sound profit making investment. What’s going to happen when the dyslexic Sheikh Rattle and Roll finds out that as a business proposition, it was only worth a bag of washers and a half used pack of condoms and it’s Colchester, not Manchester United that they have bought?

"one of the jewels of the EFL"

People have been locked up for less!

Never mind Leicester, West Brom, Southampton, Portsmouth, Sheff W, Sheff U, Coventry, Charlton, Stoke, Preston, Birmingham, QPR, Derby, Watford, etc. etc. etc. even the Farmers and Naaarwich.

F@ck me, where are you buying your jewels? I didn't know Ratners were still going.

The embarrassment of it.

EDIT: The state the club is in, it looks more like a ‘pearl necklace’ than a jewel.

‘a multifaceted and diversified revenue model’….. so good that it has resulted in over £30M of profi……….

……checks notes.

….eeerrm, Gov, are you sure you want me to put that bit in?

Something that loses £2-£3 million per year must be a difficult sell.

I think it's time for us boarders to come together and buy the club. At £50 a share how many shareholders will we need? 50,000? We might need a few more members.

Poll: How many polls will Leadbelly do this season?

In the words of the Dragons Den I’M OUT!

It might be a difficult sell, but someone’s giving it a good go, albeit in a style somewhere between ebay chancer and dodgy estate agent who’s not told his wife that they’re behind with the mortgage and there’s no money for the kids school fees.

Using the fact that it’s near to London as a ‘plus’ is my favourite. Let’s hope Mr Hugh G Moneybags the 3rd has never heard of Spurts, the Arse, Worst Ham, Brentford, Fulham, Chelsea, QPR, Crystal Palace, Watford, Millwall, Charlton, The Wombles, Barnet, Bromley or the O’s.

Not wishing to teach anyone their job, but being located in the UKs fastest growing city might have been a better angle? The former capital of Britain, sporting history going back to the Romans?

They forgot to mention in the spiel that you get the Binnerettes thrown in for free! Or does putting up banners around your stadium advertising your rivals come under 'diversified revenue model' AKA shite idea?

Within easy driving distance of Gatwick Airport!

Exactly how desperate are we on a scale of 0-10? I’m guessing about 4.2 trillion?

Seriously, does anyone think that could clinch a deal? The fact that we are nowhere near a shite airport, with terrible transport links, that’s full of knobheads on the piss to Estonia or slappers on a shagfest hen weekend.

Same old Col U…
….taking the piss!

When l read the unusual sales pitch l was trying to fathom who on earth could possibly have written it.

Who the xxxx decided to put it on the club website?

I actually wonder if it has devalued what might or might not be on offer.

45 minutes on a train from London - but nearly a two hour drive????

A drive in what?

I think the two hours allows for a detour to pick up Witham and take him to Waitrose for his weekly shop.

surely we have to put the link to the website "advert" on the 'Tigers' chat! A combo of Banksy, Doherty et al would do wonders for the Col U brand!

Or more than likely attract an offer from Swoop 'n' Squork or the Polar Bears instead!

Does Ryan Reynolds know any Hollywood buddies who may be interested in owning a football club? I heard Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson was.interested in running a football club at one point.

Let’s think about this…….

We sold the (Old) London Bridge to the gullible Yanks who thought it was Tower Bridge. So can’t we bundle Colchester United along with the Water Tower, the empty Northern Gateway Cinema site, the Roman Circus, Debenhams and M & S sites and sell all as a job lot?
