Granit Xhaka what a signing.
Jordan Henderson at Brentford too.
Experience.

Granit Xhaka was a key signing, as was Luke Ayling for Middlesbrough: players who've achieved what you are aiming for. It was that type of recruitment under McMenemy that brought us our most successful period.

The Premier League looks really exciting and competitive this year. Just look at today's results:

Brentford 3-1 Man Utd.
Chelsea 1-3 Brighton
C. Palace 2-1 Liverpool

It must be brilliant to be a Palace fan nowadays.

Quite honestly, I find the Championship very dull in comparison. The 0-0 draw with Pompey, which was supposedly going to be a highpoint, was typical of how poor it is. Before our 6th successive league game without a win, fans were already starting to lose interest and drift away.

I'm sure Sunderland fans wouldn't want to trade places with us. Neither would Bournemouth's or Brighton's.

How far we've fallen in the last 10 years. If only we still had the Paul Mitchell level of recruitment and seasons like 2015/16..

Look how much Brighton, Bournemouth, Sunderland and Brentford spend on players.

30 , 40 million on individuals, Not rocket science.

As I keep saying until we’re in a position to spend those amounts if we ever get back we won’t do anything just get hammered . At least Solak has admitted he would need help if we got promoted ie another investor.

Poll: Would you take an Fa Cup win if it meant relegation to the championship ?

You are correct.

Brighton, Bournemouth and Brentford have sold well too. Bringing in a lot of money.
As have we.

After buying and selling this summer Sport Republic still made a profit of £62m but we are still playing Stewart or Downs up front who quite frankly are fücking shit.

Selling big and buying cheap hoping for the next van dijk, Mane, Lavia has backfired.
They’ve even done it with our managers.
Jones, Juric, Rusk, Selles, Still…

It hasn’t worked.
The Championship table doesn’t lie.
Christ knows where we will be on Thursday morning after this weeks games and a tough trip to Sheffield.
8 games gone and we could be in the relegation zone.

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.
