Championship play off winners , season 2024-25.
Never had much of a soft spot for them. No particular reason for not liking them, but watching them this evening v Nottingham Forest, I can’t help but notice how much this team has been adapted and improved. They have obviously spent wisely on good quality players in the right positions. 1-0 winners and defending for their lives for over an hour, as you would expect.
Regis Debrise has been a great appointment from Lorient.
Half a dozen games in and they’re sitting third on 11 points, one less than our (almost) record breaking seasonal total.
How do we feel about this?

Apparently, according to our CEO Phil Parsons, the fountain of knowledge on all things football related, obviously accumulated whilst working for Dyson, [the ideal place to work to gain the necessary specialist knowledge needed to successfully run a PL club] we cannot compete in the PL even if we got promoted.
Why not? Palace can, Sunderland can, Bournemouth can.
It's not as if we have not had the money, the difference is, whilst others invest wisely, we p1ss a fair percentage of it up the wall, Downs being the latest example.
Conclusion: Sport Republic, fc uk off out of our Club, and take the hoover man Parsons with you. ASAP please.
