You do love a bit of hyperbole. Whos calling Ross Stewart our saviour of the front line?

After being here 2 years he was due a good game.

Downes is crap. Maybe he will come good in his 3rd season here? But its a strange transfer policy buying players for 3 seasons time - dosent help the here and now

Poll: Has the Ross Stewart deal already paid off as Nick says?

"Adam Armstrong has shown that with a run of games he can score goals"

Actually what he has shown is that he's not a centre forward (he failed when played centrally), but if you play him wide he can score goals and create from there. That's his position, just as it was in 23/24.

Not sure why you don't seem to understand the difference between a centre forward and other strikers. If you did, you'd draw a distinction between Ross Stewart and the others. Stewart is the only one who's played well at centre forward and shown that he's capable of playing there, if he is fit enough.

Until then, what you say about our strikers will continue to be meaningless nonsense.

The quality in the squad is problem.
Especially in Goal and Centre Forward positions.

Ross Stewart is the best option up front but there’s an injury waiting to happen with him.
There isn’t a decent keeper in the squad.

After beating a piss poor Sheffield United side Derby County should be there for the taking tomorrow. Another crap side.

WE MARCH ON

We thought that we had the answers, It was the questions we had wrong.

We haven’t had the type of pushiness that ShaneLong had for quite some time. We were lucky to have Ings at his best, but he didn’t really put it about. Broja soon gave up with that approach and kept drifting out to the wings too. Given SR’s record on buying forwards, we’d better hope that Stewart can keep himself fit. What we saw in the last game was more like his form for Sunderland.

We look to me to have about 20 players who are all of a similar quality.

They're all decentish Championship players, which means that we should generally have a fairly strong bench in each game.

Possible outliers at the moment are Wood and Damian Downs, at either extreme.

This means that bringing subs on won't necessarily bring match-changing results. It did on Tuesday, but I would question whether it was a direct consequence.

Poll: Would you take going down to League 1 if it meant new owners coming in?
