so your plan is to play one centre half, that should make us more solid.
with the players we have I still think our best way of playing is a 3-5-2 formation but that would mean leaving Hoilett out. I'm assuming Hughes has some sort of plan in mind to fit all these players in, looks to me like it will be 4-2-3-1 all season which won't get the best out of Cisse. |

Joking aside, I watched Rob Green and Murphy warm up on Sat and Green looked like he couldn't be arsed where as Murphy was really making an effort. I dont think Hughes will drop Green but I would like to see Murphy play against Walsall and have a blinder. | |

I have no problem with Cisse playing as the 1 in a 4-2-3-1 if the three are pretty advanced and close enough to Cisse and Taarabt becomes the out ball in a wide position. I would go for

If Mackie and Traore are the wide in the 5: quick, stamina, responsible, able to cross and defend, then you should be able to go from 5,3,2 to 3,5,2 to 3,3,4 when needed. |  |

Yeah me too on that one. Onuoha had a good first but then looked all at sea in the second, but the whole defensive midfield and back four was shot. |  | | |
