Don't think Doyle will score many (any?) goals, but if he can hold up the ball and lay it off for others maybe the likes of Phillips, Hoillet and Krancjar can?

Regardless of what he used to be, it only takes one year to turn bad. look at Fernando Torres.
Im hoping he does do well, but he should be getting more than 3 goals in L1.
And the fact that he has played a lot more than zamora makes it even worse.

Cautious welcome to this if it happens. Similar style to Austin, in that we could play him as the lone striker without too many problems, and he's a known quantity, as opposed to Belfodel who looked like a lot of hassle for somebody with a mediocre record to me.
I thnk Doyle is a good player and could do a good job, he will not however score a hatful.
When I see Huddersfield and Derby sign players like Wells and Banford, who are both scoring goals already, it seriously makes me wonder wtf goes on at our club??
