I haven't been there for years, but it's nearer the water and a nature reserve, so instantly better ;) It was always okay before, no idea now. Don't we have a 'locksheathsaint' on here? Or is that the other forum?

I would have said Swanwick/Sarisbury was the best bit of that area. Nice area, quite a few decent pubs, Jolly Sailor, Bold Forester, Talisman, some nice walks and not far from Burseldon Tescos so Ben wont have a long commute for work. [Post edited 18 Feb 2020 16:08]

'lockseaf7'was me. I moved to Locks Heath after living just off Bedford Place and couldn't stand it any more, mostly because of student w*nkers. I now live near the Locks Heath shopping centre, so within staggering distance of the 'Strawberry Field Tavern' which is pricey but beer quality is good, and they have live music on a Friday night. It's good for the waterfront at Warsash and Swanwick and notable pubs are the Rising Sun, Jolly Farmer. Close to Wickham and Botley, with other reasonable pubs there also. Not too far from the city centre, but far enough out to be relatively peaceful. A nice area to live in with everything you need close at hand, even Waitrose. I like it.

You didn’t notice that your made up partner or extended made up family would be having to look after your made up kids for a week because you’re so busy with work? WAC
