Weren't they started by someone on twitter a few months back, spread to mongweb and now seems to be getting some of our more simple fans rather excited?

RB Leipzig are rightly loathed in Germany and not because they are successful. Hopefully its just the Ralph link that is getting people at it and there's no truth in it whatsoever

i think someone claimed representatives from Red Bull were being shown around staplewood, someone in the back room staff went to work for them and people are putting two and two together and coming up with 392877392.

Does the name of the town/city need to appear in the club's name?

Would have thought the marketing geniuses would much prefer 'Red Bull Saints'.

Can only think of Port Vale where the name doesn't match the place.

I'd say Arsenal as Woolwich is no longer in the name and they're no longer based in Woolwich anyway.

Standby to standby

Queens Park and Crystal Palace are both places though aren't they? Woolwich Arsenal and Port Vale are the only two i can think of.

Port Vale were originally called Burlsem Port Vale i think, but lost the Burslem in the same way Arsenal lost the Woolwich part.

Thought we meant teams who had names which aren’t where they play, ignore that then

Everton is just a district in Liverpool which they'll be moving out of in the near future and Grimsby play their home games in Cleethorpes. And while Millwall is north of the Thames on the Isle of Dogs they play south of the river at Bermondsey. I'm boring myself now.....
