QPR tried to get it done really quickly, story got out (which obvs suits the player), other clubs that pay more came in. |
It got out as they bid before the window opened as no one can be transferred then anyway. You never do that. You enquire and say we are not sure, seems expensive, we might have to look at other options sorry we shall let you know.
Then come back as it actually opens with a remit of if it does not get done today, then we will be forced to pull out as other players we are looking at say they want to sign and they are cheaper.
I think what happened here is Bardiff may have bid slightly more for Moore, but we could have matched that. What we cannot match is that they are in Wales and he wants an international career which playing for them would massively support so it's fair enough.
Thing is with our attack-minded manager, he would have probably got a better result football playing-wise with us than them. But one can understand why he's gone there. |  |
