No the snag is people have lost their jobs , have little or no income, family tensions, fragile mindsets , fear of contracting themselves or their love ones contracting the virus ,perhaps a death in the family , you don't need to be in a lock down to experience any of the above . | |

Terribly sad, RIP. Parents should never have to bury their children.
I wouldn’t say it’s manipulating the numbers, the young lad was ill and died after contracting Covid, he was negative at the time of his passing but that’s not to say it wasn’t a contributory factor he may well have survived had he not caught the illness.
There has to be some kind of “counting rule” in place, the main one in the U.K. which the Government use is death within 28 days of providing a positive Covid19 test result, if you are on a ventilator for 29 days and then die the death isn’t counted as Covid. The ONS look for the word Covid in the death certificate, they have recorded something like 59,000 since March and lastly, there’s the excess deaths figure which compares the number of deaths this year with the average number of deaths over the last 5 years - which are up around 65,000.
