They may not be your best group or singer.... on 01:02 - Aug 28 by Loftgirl
I can't always listen to this as it sums up the emptiness in my life. Brings me to tears every time.
I remember you told us a bit about your story previously. I'm sorry to hear you're feeling lonely still. Reach out to us here more. If my memory serves me correctly, you're in NZ?

This one resonates both as a person who emigrated myself and also due to my Irish background:
And this one reminds me of a friend who kept running away from home and met an unfortunate and terrible end. They even made a TV documentary about it at the time. A nice girl who was troubled and didn't deserve what happened to her:
I fkn hate Queen cnts played sun city, music for the deaf or muggy mildly racist muppets who ain't cool enough to be an evil Skin so are scruffy Hepworths wearing nomarks.........
However reminds me of when QPR were good and there was future and hope, Rangers Sergio boys split the North bank get walked back to the Clock end and Ian Stewart curls one past Pat Jennings.. etc etc
Did I mention I fkn fkn hate Queen BUT..............
I mean what do you do
Similar but without the hate..........always seemed good lads ......I smile when I hear the first beat.....Terry Venables Blue & White Army

For my dad's funal the priest suggested the hymn below.
He was a popular man was my dad, and the church was absolutely packed, standing room only. I'd never heard this song before and when one of his friends - who was a fantastic singer - got up and belted it out, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
When I hear that song or, as now when I think of that day, there's always a little tear in my eye.
Here's Elvis' version...
'Always In Motion' by John Honney available on amazon.co.uk
Remember the first one coming out and just being stung by the sentiment, written by Elvis Costello, but this version just seemed to be so much more vulnerable.
This was just such a different version of the song that totally gets me, just doesn't sound like the cheerful pop song, but quite a melancholy song of loss/farewell. Also showcases just what an amazing voice Morten Harket actually has.
And the amazing voice of Julianne Regan just settles me everytime.
Never knowingly understood

For some reason I don't seem to be able to
Shipbuilding - Robert Wyatt version
Take on me - A-Ha, the MTV unplugged version from 2017
Marthas Harbour - All About Eve, live version from Top of The Pops (BBC cocked up the previous week for normal mimed playback, so invited AAE back to play live as recompense and they didn't disappoint). If anyone could help with the links that would be great.
