Fulham Game Matchday Thread on 18:41 - Dec 31 by Southamptonfan | Nothing will change until we get in some real quality. Manager and players. It won't happen under these owners because they just want to make money for themselves. Adams misses chances from one yard out. And Scotland are also sh!t. I rest my case! If Adams hadn’t scored twice against Lincoln we would have lost.

Fulham Game Matchday Thread on 17:29 - Dec 31 by barry_sanchez | We're shit, we've always been shit, that is supporting Southampton, what is embarrassing is the level of shitness we've become, we deserve to go down, we offer the league nothing, we moneyball everything which is an affront to fans and the wheels have fallen well and truly off, a low aspiration club for a low aspiration city. |
I disagree with the comment "we offer this lge nothing" . We offer every other team in the lge 3 easy points every time they play us. We have the worst goalkeeper in the lge. We have the worst ctr backs in the lge. We have the worst midfield in the lge. We have the worst forward line in the lge. We have no chance of staying up, it's all going to end up in tears.
Fulham Game Matchday Thread on 21:04 - Dec 31 with 1375 views | DorsetIan | Gao was a disastrous owner and, as someone else said above, the decline in the quality of the squad was slow and steady while he was here. RH had stopped making progress and had to go. The current owners have at least spent some money. The keeper is nowhere near as good as we’d hoped and has cost us a point or two, but the others seem good (if inexperienced). The current owners dithered too long about replacing Ralph, they probably let too many experienced players go, and they took a massive gamble with Jones. Jones has lost his first three PL games which isn’t great, but we’re not down yet. Win the next two and we’re back in the mix with a lot of similar teams. Lose the next two and Jones is probably going to have to go too. And maybe we can even sign someone good in Jan...

Fulham Game Matchday Thread on 16:59 - Dec 31 by cocklebreath | At 1-1 we were looking good but the idiot takes off Edozie who was injured and instead of a simple swap we change formations and instantly look sh!t, we need wins not draws you bottle job |
You say he’s an idiot for bringing on Parraud for Edozie, but who’d of you brought on then? As it’s hardly like we’ve got Mane, Mbappe, Salah etc on the bench. As Edozie was injured (but hopefully not for long) so had to come off, meaning that for forwards we only had Mara or A.Armstrong left to bring on, nether of which were a wide one which is where they needed to play if we were to keep the formation the same. Whilst if we brought on Parraud we could move Maitland-Niles (a natural wide midfielder) up a bit to his more natural position. So he’s not an idiot for that sub whatsoever, as for who we had on the bench, it’s what any decent manager would do. As Nile’s is pretty poor, but so are Mara and A.Armstrong, meaning that you might as well play the one who’s used to that position. So until we get a few new signings in I don’t think there’s a whole lot more any manager can do there

Fulham Game Matchday Thread on 17:20 - Dec 31 by grumpy | YES! again, because they got it wrong. |
What along with Hughes and Pelligrino? As if Jones had come in and we’d of been on some great run getting loads of results, then that certainly would’ve shown that it was Ralph’s fault for the poor start to the season, but the thing is we’ve not had those results as he wasn’t the issue, and nether is NJ (although I do think he’s mo of an issue than Ralph was). As there’s a reason why nether have succeeded and no managers really have since Koeman left, as since then we’ve not been spending what we need to, to compete in this league, and the players haven’t been performing no matter who was in charge. Which shows that it is the players and board who are to blame, not the coaches, as you couldn’t stay up in the prem with a Sunday league team, and as much as our squad ain’t that poor, it’s still not good enough to stay in the prem hence why we’re going down unless that changes!

You can't keep selling your best players and expect the players to be excited by the ambition of finishing 17th. Which of our players took part in the world cup as internationals. Just Bella kotchap wasn't it? |
Salisu as well, but yeah other than those two, no one else

Look how many ex Saints were representing their country in the World Cup. Van Dyke + Lovren + Yoshida. Compare those three to the three ctr backs we have now. There lies the problem. !
