We beat them in a mid-week Auto Windscreens thingqummy in the mid 90s too. Steve Whitehall told us pre-match that "We'll beat these tonight". He was right. I'm sure it was the season we made the area final.
Yep, in January 1995.
We also beat them 3-1 at home in that competition in October 2005, County scoring two own goals and Warren Goodhind also putting through his own net.
So while it's true to say we haven't beaten County in the league at home since 1990 (as stated in the preview on their website), I think we've only played them three times at Spotland in that time - 05/06, 06/07 and 07/08.
When I was your age, I used to enjoy the odd game of tennis. Or was it golf?

Really don't agree with Hendo being dropped. One of the few players actually trying and can be a leader on the pitch.
And the only player who's consistently scored goals, something else we've massively struggled with all season.... its worse than very odd leaving him out, and Brierley pops up on the bench from oblivion too

So Brierley could have been playing after all. It's a lovely night for passing football. Pitch in decent nick. We've been operating all season with no functioning midfield. We're going down and everyone is miserable. Ethan won't be here next season. But yet we're being denied the opportunity to enjoy him before he bids us farewell. I could cry.

Holding our own for 55 minutes, then once again individual mistakes throw it away - a stupid decision in the tackle to give away the penalty and then a terrible piece of goalkeeping for the 2nd. Story of the season.
