Well yes as the OP say's lost 7 of their last 8 games, local paper up here questioning why he wasn't sacked earlier as performances were poor and they got into the habit of losing to teams who were equally In poor form.
In my book the mark of a good Manager is the Manager who can turn things around when things go awry.
