I have to say I have never known a player make me so angry at a total lack of effort as Zan Celar.

Giving raucous away fans 3000 tickets when a ground holds 17400 is ridiculous. Selling cheap ST is a good way to try and build the fanbase and something we should have done years ago .
What has contributed to poor atmosphere is the way we have played at home for nearly 3 years !

He brought in a good mate to head up the clubs operation he also is best mates with Ben Williams the head of the operations has no experience to run a professional football club. He is linked by marriage to Nourry. It’s disgraceful. Many staff who come into contact with these clowns would love to speak out but can’t. The owners need to make a tough choice back Marti or back Nourry. 1st thing that should happen is an explanation into why BW is not based at the club and what exactly he does for his money. Whilst he’s mates run the club these issues will continue.

It is all up to Rueben. I simply cannot understand why he does not do something. None of us are geniuses ( well most at least!) but the problem is obvious, those running the club have created this mess and to be replaced. It really isn't rocket science. You only have to look at our signings and know most of them will struggle next year in League 1. Frankly I would be fine if Rueben put the club into administration, we dropped 10 points ,got a new owner who could buy the club for very little given our monthly losses and start again in Lesgue 1. I have said for over 5 years now that unless Rueben wakes up or gives up the club will end up at best lower league1. Uxbridge r used to give me stick but would be interested to hear his views now. Not gloating but he was always optimistic

That short clip of an interview from Dave Mc of WLS on the match report thread is pretty damning on the Larkeche decision, when he says it was a club decision to release Larkeche for a loan that doesn't sound like a man who endorsed the decision.
Personally I support Marti because he was given a poor hand last season and did a very good job, how is he rewarded that's giving him poorer squad options this season because we relied solely on Analytics for our transfers, that's down to Nourry.
Nourry needs to man up and walk away, that's not going to happen so how long before Hoos, Amit and Rubén wake up and smell the coffee, it was a huge mistake giving somebody with such little football knowledge and experience the CEO and Director of Football role, he has to go at least Marti will then be able to talk freely to the media and Clive might even get an interview.

Relegation is 100% not the answer to the club’s problems - it would be a disaster for us. I have zero confidence in our clueless, absentee owners and the boss baby plummeting us out of the football league if we are relegated to L1.

All my impressions of Ruben are he's fat, lazy and incompetent. Doesn't that about cover it?
I've just listened to McIntyre and Gallen about Madsen. I have a lot of time for Dave Mc and not much for Gallen, but my lord.
They state that they spoke to other scouts about Madsen and that other clubs had avoided him for being weak.

Yeh I've just listened to that myself, and whatever anybody thinks of Gallen and/or Dave I'd advise they do the same. It's a calm and frank assessment. I thought the point about the head of recruitment spending all his time at QPR games was well made as well.

Nourry was a choice.I don't think there is any competitive advantage in anybody leaving before the season is over - but there may be to wrestling the transfer strategy back from Nourry for January. Pragmatism must rule in the short term: changing DOF or whatever he is called now would not help, and provides cover for everyone else.
However, this was a choice. Nourry was the board's choice after they employed his Retexco to do an audit. He recommended they strip the coaching staff, employ his choices instead, and himself. They fell for another smooth-talking powerpoint bullshitter.
There were other choices. Steve Gallen is an excellent football administrator who has done a lot of good work for basket-case clubs, QPR and notably Charlton, in preparation for the DOF role at Rangers. He was free and waiting, no doubt, for the call as a lifelong QPR man. Perfect for the role, and cheap. Once again, the board wanted to prove how clever they are, how they can work outside the box, how they think they can do Championship success differently and went with a 26-year-old guy's never worked in day-to-day club football before.
Millwall said thanks very much. We'll have Steve Gallen as our DOF instead. And they've just enjoyed a summer window that's the polar opposite of QPR's (known quantities, identified with attributes who can hit the ground running, and representing value) and are now fifth, putting all to the sword.
I mentioned this on X and got loads of laughing crying emoji abuse: 'we've got higher ambitions than Millwall' etc. I mean.
There's nothing wrong with the DOF model. I was listening to Thomas Frank discussing buying players at Brentford. Nobody's really in charge. Targets are identified and then all four departments - scouting, data, Frank and owner - get in a room and discuss. Players are watched closely for ages, interviewed, signed. It works.
It works everywhere, in fact, where the people doing it know what they're doing. We don't have those people anymore.

Incredibly sobering stuff. Dave Mc knows his onions and although I don't always agree with him, his point about the head of recruitment is surely spot on.
I do try and be balanced, and I know there is a bit of bias from them towards the old days of some fat old pro with a flat cap scouting Nigel Martyn in a factory for Gerry or something, but as they allude to all the clubs now do the data stuff, but there isn't a way in the world they don't watch them properly as well. Do we? And if so, who watched Celar and Madsen and recommended them?
And how can Nourry oversee all this rubbish? What a joke.

As a fanbase I just don't think we are united enough to do anything. I think majority of people will just see the results and think it's all the managers fault .

We need to change his role to that which Hoos used to perform and bring in a DoF to work alongside him. Somebody who knows the game. I'd personally speak with Marti to keep him in the loop and make sure that he's on board with whoever we're bringing in. If it put's Nourrys nose out of joint, tough, like it or sod off.

I think this is the best we can hope for now. But it still may not save our season, of course, as I can't see us doing enough, or even anything, in the Jan. window.
In an ideal world, the massive losses the club is likely to make on Celar and Madsen, who are surely both well on the way to becoming irredeemable boo boys, would be recouped from Nourry's wages/performance incentives.
I suspect we're f*cked either way, but then of course so is the game, both of which we're stuck with.
