'We knew that there was a dressing room there that was not in a good way. Half of them wanted to rip the heads off the other half...' Yikes.

Dobbo Speaks on 13:42 - Mar 24 by TheChef | True but there was a kind of inevitability that he would always get a go as QPR manager (even if a few of us knew it would never go well). Having somehow avoided relegation, the sensible thing to do at the end of that season would have been to shake hands, thank him for his efforts and part ways. Unfortunately the club didn't do that. Unless, we always knew Cifuentes would be available come November and we just looked to muddle through with GA until then. |
You're right of course, however, let's be honest, it wasn't a few who thought it would end as it did, it was the majority and just because he craved it, doesn't mean the brain trust running the club should have gone for it. I don't blame him for having a go, and God knows, he/we wanted it to work out. However, he and us should never have been put in that position and after we survived, you're right, he should have 'gone out on the high' of having saved us from relegation. At the end of the day, I don't blame him at all...although the Cuban heels and hair are his own fault!

We all wanted him to succeed- unfortunately it didn't happen- I think some thought they were better than him and just didn't buy into any of it. If you have a team with one or two not putting it in the whole thing crumbles quickly. He did convince Cook and colback to join both have been positive signings. Begovic less of an impact- not sure who the other options were. But they kept us up to fight another day and maybe look upwards instead of downwards.

Dobbo Speaks on 07:28 - Mar 25 with 640 views | numptydumpty | Bit of a whinge when they just weren't up to the job Both now failing again at Shrewsbury Probably got the Shrewsbury gig because highlighted they weren't treated fairly at Rangers Was easily the most depressing period of football, I have ever seen at Rangers. Blaming others is not great and it was the style chosen and very poor man management skills also that created a horrendous run of dreadful games which you knew would be consistently depressing to watch. They both massively blotted their copy books at QPR. A best forgotten period for all !!
