Well some yes, but not entirely on him?
A lot of it he's inherited. You could argue with players about to be out of contract he might have got renewals/extensions lined up already, e.g. Dunne. But I'm not entirely sure how the game is played really. [Post edited 4 Apr 13:22]

Agree, plus I'd add into the mix the terrible start to the season we had, where it looked like we might be in L1 next season. Probably not the best time to negotiate a contract extension for your highest earners, like Cook.
It sounds like the newer contracts arranged by Nourry are probably longer (we have to guess now) but they are probably more like the 4+ year deals to amortise fees other clubs are doing, which should also prevent these times where we have a glut of contracts expiring at the same time. |  | | |

I would play Madsen up front if none of the forward are fit. At least he can do link play ... we hope! |
Not sure if you are joking or not but he is pretty tall and might be able to attack a cross or 2 or try and control/head forward our multiple hopeful long wild kicks up field .
Having Dembele or Smyth attempting to reach crosses is comical when they do their best work along the ground .
We simply have to score first then the home crowd will be the difference IMO |  | | |
