There is so much more to this deal than it appears.
You only have to read the articles on here to realise the drive and ambition that has brought this to fruition.
The owners (including Modric) clearly intend driving the club onwards and upwards.
Having Modric on board will not give us worldwide publicity, extent our fanbase and increase our commercial activity.
It will also make the club more attractive to any prospective ( and hopefully current ) players
I do not see any negative points in this at all

I don't want to fall out mate. But with all the cost cutting at the club and people losing their livelihoods any investment is welcome. What we don't want is senior management massaging their egos. If Modric has invested his own money and his profile will generate income it's brilliant. But if this is not the case and they now have a shareholder who currently invested or provided nothing questions have to be asked. | | | |
