Legal clarity at last, at least in the UK for the time being. No doubt this leaves quite a lot of tidying of law and regulations for the devolved administrations to do. What strikes me is that there may still be issues at the international level, if different countries end up with different legal definitions of what a woman is.

I think in this society if people want to pretend to be something else because it makes them happier and more comfortable in their skin then fair enough treat them with respect but it doesnât change basic biological facts. The debate has become poisonous for all sides, including the vast majority of trans people who just want to get on with their lives. Ask the females in your life how many times theyâve been made to feel uncomfortable by a trans woman, then ask the same question about straight men.
As I said, this judgment is important and I hope itâll take some of the heat out of the discussion in time.
Hopefully itâll pan out like years ago when people linked homosexuality to paedophillia. Most have grown out of thinking like that now and I hope this will be the same with those trans people who are just wrestling with themselves and not trying to change reality for others.

These are almost always individual toilets and not shared . Men and women's toilets are communal. Individual toilet arrangements would seem better to me. Trans toilets are not really wanted by anyone so disabled toilets are the most practical solution .
With trans women born men they will presumably be banned from Women toilets and have to hot the men toilets dressed as a woman. Women dressed as men as presenting themselves as men can go to men's toilets I suppose with our going into details.
What do people on here put forward as solutions. It is tricky

I genuinely believe the gender dysphoria is a real issue and ruins people's lives, I have second hand experience of it, including a colleague who has pretty much been driven out of their mid Wales town due to abuse directed at their very young trans son.
As always it's the extremists that cause problems, there's a world of difference between somebody who's body has malfunctioned in some way and somebody switching between sex / gender on a whim. There's very few of the latter except in the Daily Mail.

They get the treatment and care they need.
When it comes to gender and a 6 foot bloke with a massive beard decides heâs a woman we just pump him full of drugs to make his tits grow bigger and lop off his John Thomas almost immediately.
